Best On Board provides governance education, testing and certification for hospital and health system board members. Clinical and executive leaders are also encouraged to participate in Best on Board programs and certification so that critical governance knowledge is shared throughout the top levels of the organization.
Best On Board’s Essentials of Healthcare Governance course helps strengthen the ability of current and prospective trustees and leaders to serve on a health care organization governing board. And now, Best on Board offers an advanced-level course, The Quality Imperative, for participants who want to deepen their understanding of board responsibilities in this critical aspect of their organization's service.
In some states, hospital boards and leadership groups become eligible to receive special incentives for becoming Best On Board-certified.
And now, Best On Board is offering The Quality Compact, a service that partners Best On Board resources and experts with organizations to ensure that trustees and executives commit to and act upon the knowledge gained from Best On Board’s governance education courses. Best On Board works with an organization’s board and executive leadership to follow a plan of action designed to significantly improve the quality and safety of services to all those it serves.
Best On Board offers its educational programs in several ways. Participants can choose to take Best On Board’s courses at an in-person seminar, or online, or a combination of both, in a “Bricks and Clicks” format when available. Course methods include quizzes, which when passed successfully, lead to certification by Best on Board. Courses are content-rich and engaging. The courses are designed with adult learning styles and needs in mind.
